Biography
Merran was admitted to legal practice in February 2020 after completing the Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Criminology, Politics and International Studies) at the University of Melbourne.
Before joining Slades and Parsons, Merran worked as Associate to the Honourable Justice Croucher at the Supreme Court of Victoria. Working primarily in the criminal trial division, as well as the Court of Appeal, Merran completed research and assisted in the drafting of judgments and rulings for a variety of criminal cases, including homicide and terrorism matters.
Merran’s previous roles include a secondment to the COVID-19 Hotel Quarantine Inquiry as part of the Policy, Research and Report Writing team, as well as various paralegal and research positions.
