| Firm History |
Established in 1970 by the late Phil Slade, a highly respected member of the Victorian Bar, our firm originally practised as Slades, Barristers and Solicitors. Then based in Fitzroy Street St Kilda, Tony Parsons soon joined the firm, later to become a partner with the practice changing its name to Slades and Parsons. In 2000 Tony Parsons became the General Manager of Victorian Legal Aid. It was at this time that the firm merged with Wallington Brand Gattuso, which was based in Queen Street Melbourne. The two firms continued to operate from their original practices for the next six months until the decision was made to renovate universal Chambers to enable the practices to properly merge into the one building. Anthony Brand, Belinda Wallington and Tim Gattuso then partnered the firm for the next three years following Mr Parsons' departure. In 2002 Belinda Wallington was appointed as a Magistrate. In 2006 our office at the Visy Cares Centre in Dandenong was opened. The firm currently employs seven practitioners, including two accredited specialists in criminal law. |
